Brooke's Visit

"Aunt" Brooke came all the way to St. Louis to meet Kelsey from NC. They hit it off immediately and Kelsey was at home in Aunt Brooke's arms. We took Kelsey and Brooke for their first visit to the St. Louis Arch, the Gateway to the West (very exciting stuff!), went out to eat (always a favorite), and just hung out. Good times was had by all! We hope to see Aunt Brooke again soon! :)

One of the many reasons Kelsey is going to LOVE her "aunts" (my cousins)!!

We brought Kelsey to Melbourne Beach to meet her extended family and for her baby naming. Kelsey is named after her two maternal great grandmothers. The B in Brooke is for my grandmother, Bertha and the R and G in her hebrew name, Rachel Gabriella, is for my other grandmother, Ramona Gwendolyn. Our family and a few close friends traveled from near and far to meet Kelsey and celebrate her Hebrew Naming. As many kisses as she gets on a daily basis from Adam and I, I don't think Kelsey has ever been kissed and passed and held more in one day ever! She loved every second of it!!! Thank you so much to those who made the trip to meet/see her. Our family means so much to us and Kelsey is very blessed to have you in her life! We love you!

First Flight

We took Kelsey on her first airplane ride on July 9th. Despite having more baggage than we've ever had and trying to make sure everything we needed was included, the trip went well. She did great, again much better than her mom :) We got there in plenty of time and Kelsey was awake during much of the flight. She was very curious and LOVED looking out the window :) She already loves to travel like her mommy and daddy :)

8 weeks "Glamour Shots"

Kelsey is 8 weeks old!!!! It's hard to believe how fast she's growing and changing!! She weighed in at 10 lbs and measured 22 inches at her checkup and her doctor said and I quote, "She's amazing developmentally!" I know it's hard for every parent not to think their kid is amazing, but it's fantastic when a non biased educated observer thinks so too!! :) Her new tricks include cooing back and forth for several minutes, rolling over every chance she gets, smiling frequently especially at Mommy and Daddy but at the mirror too, and army crawling. In a word, we're Amazed......

I tried to take some cute artsy shots of Kelsey, but she made it a bit harder than expected as she loved rolling around! Regardless, we think she's adorable!

Mommy, Daddy and Me

I LOVE laying on Daddy's chest. It's one of my favorite places in the whole wide world.

One of Mommy's favorite times is snuggling after bathtime. We just stare at each other intently for a long time, then we read a book.

Bath time with Daddy is so fun! I really like it!

Happy Fourth of July!!! Daddy did some excellent grilling according to Mommy.

Do you like my dress? Mommy took me shopping at the mall for my first mall trip. She says we have lots of girls' shopping trips ahead of us.

Abede came to play & Kelsey's first visit to Daddy's office

My friend, Abede, and I go all the way back to Mel-Hi physics class. He was in St. Louis for a conference and came to meet Kelsey. They had a great time playing. It was hilarious watching them take turns sticking out their tongues. I think the game went on for several minutes. Too cute!

Kelsey also made her first of many visits to Daddy's office. As usual, she was a hit with all of Daddy's coworkers! She's such a charmer and even if tired, always seems to "rally" and wake up to be social.
