Courtney came all the way from Ft. Lauderdale to spend some quality time with us. We had a blast at the Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour, out to eat, hanging at home and at the Rams game. As always, it was a fun filled, laughing weekend! Thanks for the visit, CJ!!! Can't wait to do it again!

5 MONTHS

Kelsey is FIVE months! We still can't believe it! On her 5 month bday, she went to her first Ram's game and had her cousins in town (See below). Within the week after her 5 mos bday, she began rolling ALL over the place. She even rolled over in her swaddle which has led to putting the swaddle away and Kelsey sleeping swaddle free. YAY! This makes nap and bedtime so much easier on us. It also shows us how BIG our baby is and how fast she's growing up. She loves walking while holding our hands, is trying to get on all fours and is also sitting up fairly well. We're still not walking away while she sits, but it seems she'll be sitting independently any day now. She's still cooing and talking away and loves books. She tries and is often successful at turning the pages. She loves peekaboo and watches Mocha and Bella intently all over the house. She's reaching and grabbing at everything, most recently my cell phone. I think she knows most of the time it's Daddy on the other end:) She is loving her My Gym classes, being outside and going for walks, and the play group that we've found. She is staring intently at any and all food and I'm sure can't wait to start eating real food next month. She's a real angel baby who rarely cries and is still a dream sleeper! Now that we've gotten rid of the swaddle, we'll eventually tackle her sound machine and pacifier, but for now, we'll just enjoy watching our baby sleep with her butt in the air!

First Rams Game

We attended Kelsey's first official Rams game. Kelsey had a great time watching the action on the field and playing on the field with her cousins, Lauren and Allison. She loved it almost as much as watching football on TV with Daddy.

WOW!

We had a great time at Eckert's Fun Farm. We watched pig races, a show with goats, went through a corn maze, and watched Lauren ride a camel. There were tons of animals including pigs, dogs, horses, camels, kangaroos, goats, antelope and more. Kelsey still loves her baby bjorn and takes naps in them when we're out (yay!). It's also a great way to snuggle and keep warm in this cold fall that we're having. We made a great apple crumble from the apples we picked when we got home. YUM!!!

Cousin Allison, the only time she'll be twice as old as Kelsey

Aunt Caren, Uncle Jim, Lauren and Allison came to meet Kelsey. We did lots of fun activities including picking apples in an apple orchard, finding pumpkins in a pumpkin patch, going to Kelsey's first Rams football game and just enjoyed being together. Between Aunt Caren's kisses, Uncle Jim's funny faces and sounds, Lauren's snuggling and Allie's demo of what's to come, Kelsey couldn't stop smiling and laughing! We had a great time and Kelsey loved meeting her family!!

Kelsey has been "walking" for over a month and we finally got it on video. Thanks, "Aunt" Becky! We love having visitors!!!

Kelsey and I have been hitting the town and making friends. We go to a Lactation Support Group that I affectionately call the "Boob Group." It's full of moms with babies of all ages. Kelsey and I met Heather/Ellie, Sharon/Evan and Angela/Eva there, and our kids are all around the same age. We also go to My Gym weekly where we met Jocelyn and Peyton. I met Dominique at a prenatal exercise class and Mario a little later. Kelsey and I LOVE meeting new friends and are having a great time exploring together!

On Saturday, Oct. 3, Kelsey went to her first Cards game. We had great seats and thoroughly enjoyed the baseball game. Kelsey slept through the first few innings, but woke to watch a few innings, play with the preschooler sitting in front of us and meet Brandon Barash (Johnny Zachara on General Hospital). Her first soap star! He was very gracious and incredibly nice. Now that I'm officially a stay at home mom, I'm supposed to watch soaps, right? Though in all honesty, I've been watching GH way too long ;) Anyway, Kelsey had a great time at the stadium!
